Chambres d’hôtes / B&B de la Sole is in Eymet, South Dordogne, also known as the Perigord Pourpre because of the vineyards. Eymet is a charming little 13thcentury bastide town, typical of the region. Its rich history is still reflected today and at the Tourist Office on the square Gambetta guided visits can be booked.
The chambres d’hôtes de la Sole are located in a very quiet private throughway, just behind the old château and the park Gabriel Forestier. On the cozy deck guests can chill with a glass of wine or a cup of tea or coffee , and breakfast can be served there The popular and lovely square with its many restaurants is only a 2 minute walk from the B&B.
Every Thursday – and on Tuesday evenings from end of June until End of August – there is a buzzing and very frequented market. In the summer months many activities such as the gastronomic market (marché gourmand), wine and oyster festivity, … are organized.
Besides visiting the many wine châteaux and vineyards, organized wine tours can be arranged. For nature lovers, Eymet and its surroundings offer many walking routes, and along the river Dropt it is great picnicking on a sunny afternoon.
